Google likes to rank different kinds of sites in the top 10. WordPress, news sites, videos, slideshares, podcasts. . It is a a lot easier to get different kinds of sites ranked for one term than it is getting the same site ranked.

Note that all the usual things – keywords in title/URL, etc – aren’t always in these listings. Determining why a site is in the top 10 is a lot more complicated that just keywords

Note that there are different types of results: blog posts, videos, etc.

Can we get our whole social world ranked?

Remember, there are many posts that you don’t need to worry about optimizing. Some things people just don’t search for.

So we need a keyword tool to help us learn which keywords will serve our business.
