[About Tracing the Path]

here's THE REASON

Why This Podcast Exists

Somewhere along the way, I fell in love with two things:  Stories and Cleverness

I love the Del Amitri song "Always the Last to Know" because of how clever the ending is. And see the Box Tops is still my favorite concert experience because they told so many stories about their history. And Paul Harvey is my favorite storyteller of all time because this stories were so clever.

And while the theme of the podcast is the 20th Century, it's not really the kind of history timeline you study in school. Rather, what's fascinating to me is how the pieces of history connect. And even more interesting to me are how the most famous things we all know about, how they're often interconnected without anyone knowing.

For every episode that's been published, I've gone far down the road with research on 10 other ideas. But most just don't make it for one reason only. . . there's nothing that makes me say "wow" out loud.

I hope that every episode gives you that moment.
